The RC-13 Line Cutter is a compact, easy-to-install cutting attachment designed specifically for use with the Newton Subsea Gripper. It provides a reliable and efficient solution for cutting rope, fishing nets, and tether subsea, without the need to swap tools or add complex actuators.

The cutter mounts directly to the gripper, allowing operators to trap and cut line using the normal gripper motion. This makes it ideal for entanglement recovery, debris removal, and general subsea intervention tasks where fast and controlled cutting is required.

Manufactured from durable HDPE, the RC-13 offers excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and suitability for subsea environments while remaining lightweight. Cutting performance is provided by a custom-made 440C stainless steel blade with TiN coating, delivering high hardness, excellent edge retention, and increased wear resistance.

The RC-13 is capable of cutting rope, fishing net, and tether material up to a maximum diameter of 13 mm, making it a versatile and dependable addition to any Newton-equipped ROV.
